6 Months w/ Munchkin

Today marks 6 months that we've been caring for our precious foster baby. We affectionately call him Munchkin...and that's what I'll call him from now on. :)

He is growing so much. He's nearly 8 months old. He sits up well, eats anything and everything we offer him (almost ready for table food), and loves books. Although he has skipped the rolling over stage and may bypass the crawling stage, he's starting to pull himself up and has been supporting himself standing for several months now. He has strong legs...he'll either be a track star like his Uncle L or a soccer player like R. His teeth will be coming through any day - he chews and bites his toys like a playful puppy. He is such a happy little one. He only cries when something is wrong - diaper change, hungry, tired, hurt. He smiles and laughs the majority of the time. He is very observant. He checks everyone out before he'll smile and play with them. He gives kisses and says "Mama" all the time now. He recognizes R and I, and, of course, we're wrapped around his tiny finger. He's a big time snuggler and we LOVE it!

He has brightened what could have been some of our darkest days. We are still incredibly thankful that Munchkin was brought into our lives.
